Everything’s okay is a gritty female-centric coming-of-age about sisterhood and learning to face emotions and grow up while it seems that everything around you is falling down.

The Team

Cimi Grace - Director / Writer / Producer

Cimi Grace is a narrative filmmaker from Temecula, CA. After spending time in the Brooks Institute Film program she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia College Hollywood with a specialization in Cinema Directing.

She is very passionate about bringing awareness and normalcy to the issues of mental health, addiction, abuse, and the female experience with strong characters at the core of every story. She has a heightened sense of visual design, having spent time as a Production Designer and believes in the absolute articulation of every frame, focusing on highly specific color pallets and striking visuals.

This will be her first feature. Everything’s okay is a deeply personal story very close to her heart, which she hopes will shed light on the difficulty of addiction from the often untold perspective of siblings.

Kyla Robinson -Producer

Born in New Zealand and spending many years in Australia and traveling, Kyla Robinson is a Producer, Writer, and Filmmaker now based in Los Angeles.

Kyla’s experience spans over the past sixteen years working across various departments having written, directed and produced multiple short films, and working as key support crew on various film and television projects for Universal Pictures, Blumhouse Productions, Walt Disney, Warner Bros, See-Saw Productions, and Independent productions, along with extensive corporate experience.

As co-founder of Bellbird Productions, Kyla’s drive is to tell stories through film with a primary focus on true stories, and stories based on truth.

Jake Glaviano - Cinematographer

Jake Glaviano is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer. His passions revolve primarily around 35mm photography, experimental filmmaking, music videos, and coming-of-age narratives. Jake's skill set reflects the multi-faceted nature of an ever-changing industry. He started off at Brooks Institute in sunny Ventura California, shortly after his third semester the Institute closed down. He then proceeded to finish his education at Columbia College Hollywood in the San Fernando Valley Graduating in the top ten of his class with Magna Cum Laude. Soon after venturing into narrative shorts and commercials.


The Story

It’s 2012, Suburban wine country, Temecula, CA. Emmy is a teenage girl who wants everyone to know that everything is okay, as she struggles with her sisters drug addiction and the constant crushing nature of teenage existence in this gritty and deeply honest coming-of-age story.

The Debut feature of director/writer Cimi Grace. Inspired by her own experiences growing up, the film seeks to center itself in heavy hitting honesty, with a carefully crafted visual tone, and characters that aren’t afraid to do the wrong thing.
